Professional Ceramic Coating Installers in Dallas

Most Durable and Superior Form of Protection

Ceramic Coating “Does it really work ?”

Have you ever considered coating your vehicle with ceramic? Does it perform as well as waxing and polishing? And given the cost, is it really worth it?

We are aware that despite asking these kinds of questions , there is a lot of conflicting information on the internet can be misleading. Therefore, we have made the decision to finally answer them.

Today, we will walk you through the what is ceramic coating, its benefits and thing that ceramic can’t do. Here goes…

What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external elements. It bonds with the paint of your car and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.

While many people mistakenly think that ceramic coating is a substitute for paint protection film, its more like an alternative for waxing. The main goal is to stop dirt, grime, and stain marks from appearing on the paint job and ruining the clear coat.

Ceramic coatings is a semi-permanent solution and due to its chemically properties, it does not degrade in normal conditions like rain or summer.

While good waxes and sealants are great, ceramic coating simply is just better. A great analogy i like to say ceramic like a metal roof and wax are like shingles they both offer protection but they are nothing alike.

The Benefits of Ceramic Coating

A number of coating companies make some fairly big claims about what they can do.Despite the claims having some truth, I would rather not exaggerate what it can do.

Here are some advantages that you actually receive:

  • Produces the most durable protection that lasts between 3 to 9 years

  • It only requires one application and not every couple months like other forms of protection

  • produces a deep level of gloss that is unmatched by other types of protection, such as wax or sealer.

Protect from Harmful UV rays preventing it from fading, oxidizing and wearing a dull look.(critical if you park your car outside)

Your car must first be properly prepped and fixed with one of our paint correction procedures before the coating can be install. If you apply the coating without doing the required prep work, you will not be able to reap the full benefits of the coating.

An expert ceramic coating installer makes a difference . Furthermore, if it's not placed correctly, you won't get its full benefits and your car can be covered with different type of specks.

We refer to these as "high spots." You'll notice this if the coating was improperly placed and allowed to dry for an excessive amount of time without being removed.

Understanding the weather factors is important because they can have a big impact on the installation procedure.Yes, the more durable the coating is, the more difficult it is to install; consider a one-year coating against a nine-year coating

We only do this service at our location due to the many factor involved in applying a ceramic coating.

Things That Ceramic Can’t Do

Yes, coatings are strong and long-lasting, but that means nothing if you can abuse your car as much you want and assume the coating will keep it safe.

Every product in the world has drawbacks. Whether they are deal breakers or not is for you to decide. These are not exactly flaws; just things that ceramic coating just does not promise to do.

Coating will not protect your car from the usual threats: scratches, swirl marks, and rock chips.

The coating will not make your paint scratch-resistant.The coating will resist light swirls and scratches that might be induced when washing and drying the vehicle.

If you drag a dirty towel it will scratches the paint ,if you put you laundry basket on top of car it will scratch it.

Coating will not protect your paint from rock chips. The only real option that can protect your paint from rock chips will be paint protection film (PPF).

There is no amount of ceramic coating, wax, or other layers of protection that can prevent a rock from striking your car.

Applying a coating reduce the need for car washes. Your vehicle will require maintenance washes to prolong the durability. A layer of ceramic coating does not give your car superpowers to auto-clean itself.

While we are all waiting for a miracle product that would do that, for now, let’s focus on the bright side of ceramic coating.:)

For best durability, you must wash, dry, and enhance the coating appropriately. If  not properly maintained, a coating that was designed to last for six years can begin to deteriorate after just three years.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

Do you have a shop or work location ?

Yes! we offer paint correction and ceramic coating at my residential location. Depending on the level of work, it can take 2 to 3 days to complete the service (since it has to be paired with our paint correction or paint polishing service).

After the coating is put on, can I wash my car?

For the first 48 hours after the coating is applied, the vehicle shouldn't get wet to allow for proper curing. Following that, we urge our clients not to wash their cars for the first two weeks. The first wash after we apply the ceramic coating is free to you so we can check how the coating is holding up.

Can you install the coating without doing any prep work or paint correction?

We don't coat vehicles that have not gone through the required preparation and correction because you won't get the coating's benefits without it.

Can the ceramic coating take the place of my clear coat?

The only solution if your clear coat has failed and your paint is fading and chipping is to repaint. A ceramic coating won't be of any help.

What brand or type of ceramic do you use?

For most the most part we use DPC Dallas Paint Correction our local business partner. We can apply different brand if you like us too.
